Susan Barrett Merrill Designated Maine Traditional Arts Master
Maine Arts Commission designated Susan Barrett Merrill at Traditional Arts Master. Merrill was tapped to teach colonial pattern weaving, a tradition handed down in her family, whose roots include family in Skowhegan, Maine in the 1800s. She trained an enthusiastic and dedicated apprentice in pattern weaving, natural dyeing, and spinning.
